Nikah Gifts in Pakistan
The nikah is the quiet ceremony, and the gift usually is too. Gifts for the couple and for the bride, delivered in Lahore and Gujranwala.
Frequently Asked Questions
The nikah is the ceremony itself, and it is usually the smallest gathering of the whole series. Immediate family, the two witnesses, sometimes fifteen people in a room. That scale is what should decide the gift, because anything loud looks out of place in it.
What Suits a Nikah
For the couple. A plain, well finished cake, a formal gift tray, or flowers with a written card. The restraint is the point. A ribbed white cake or an ivory tray reads correctly at a nikah in a way that a balloon arrangement does not.
For the bride. If you are from the groom's side, the nikah gift is often jewellery or a keepsake presented in a box rather than anything edible. If you are a guest, a shared gift for the couple is the safer choice.
Sweets. Mithai is still the most common nikah gift in most families and nobody has ever objected to it. If you want to do that but better, a mithai tray presented properly costs little more than the box from the shop and looks like it was thought about.
When the Nikah and Valima Are Separate
Many families now hold the nikah weeks or months before the valima. If that is the case, the nikah gift is the smaller one and the larger gift goes to the valima. Giving the big gift at the nikah and then arriving empty handed at the valima is the mistake to avoid.
Ordering and Delivery
Ready gifts go out the same day when ordered before 3 PM. Custom cakes and fresh flower work need a day. Tell us the ceremony time on WhatsApp and we will deliver before it rather than during, which matters more at a nikah than at any other event in the series because the room is small enough that a delivery interrupts it.
