Frequently Asked Questions
Wedding season in Pakistan runs from late autumn into February, and the gifting starts long before the barat. There is the engagement, the dholki, the mehndi, the nikah, the valima, and the muh dikhai the morning after. Each one has its own expectation of what you turn up with, and getting it wrong is noticed.
This page is where every wedding gift we make sits together, from a single bride to be cake at Rs 9,399 up to a full display tray at Rs 40,799. Everything is made in our own workroom in Lahore and Gujranwala and delivered by our own riders in those two cities, so you can order it from anywhere and have it arrive on the right morning.
What to Give at Each Event
Engagement or mangni. A chocolate and flower arrangement or a proposal box. This is the one gift where presentation matters more than size, because it is opened in front of everyone.
Dholki and mehndi. Something shareable. A snack or mithai basket travels better than a single item at a house full of people, and it does not compete with the food already laid out.
Nikah. A cake or a formal gift tray. The nikah is the quiet ceremony, so the gift usually is too, which is why a plain ribbed cake or an embroidered tray reads better here than something loud.
Valima. The largest gift of the series, usually money or a display tray. A money bouquet works because it is cash presented properly rather than cash in an envelope.
Muh dikhai. For the bride the morning after, from the groom's family. Jewellery, a keepsake, or flowers with a personal card.
Bridal shower. Close friends and cousins, usually daytime and at a house, and the gift is opened in front of everyone. Presented beats practical here, and household items land badly because the jahez is already being assembled.
How Much to Spend
Budget in Pakistani wedding gifting is set by how close you are to the family rather than by the event. Around Rs 9,000 to Rs 15,000 covers a cake or a well presented box for a friend or a colleague. Rs 15,000 to Rs 25,000 is the range for close friends and extended family, where a tray or a combined flowers and cake gift is expected. Above Rs 25,000 you are into the display pieces that sit on the table and are photographed, which is where immediate family and in laws usually land.
If cash is the custom in that family, say so and we will build a money bouquet or a money tray to the amount you want rather than talking you into something else.
Ordering From Abroad
A good share of our wedding orders come from Britain, the Gulf, North America and Australia, because the family is here and the sender is not. Tell us the event date and the address on WhatsApp, pay by bank transfer or an agreed remittance route, and we deliver and send you a photo of the gift where it landed. You do not need anyone in Pakistan to arrange it for you.
Lead Time
Ready gifts go out the same day when ordered before 3 PM. Cakes with a custom design, personalised items and fresh flower work need a day's notice, and in December the good delivery slots go early, so book the date as soon as the card arrives rather than the week of.
